    The Position

    With the role " Corporate Affairs & Access Manager " you will provide leadership, strategic guidance and holistic support to the organization in order to accelerate access to our innovative solutions improving clinical, economical and social outcomes.

  • Job purpose
  • Inspire the Access team and the organization to pursue our North Star, as a visionary Architect, Coach and Catalyst.

  • Visionary: To instill an aspiring, bold, shared vision and higher purpose in the organization and translate it into clear prioritized access and reimbursement outcomes for our innovation.
  • Architect: Empower people and teams to self-organize, prioritize, make "game changing" decisions. Encourage team members to scan external environments for insights and challenge the business to aim for higher aspiration/ ambition for the future. Deploy resources to reach our ambitions. Shift the access team focus from tactics to achieve short-term objectives to a deeper examination of the outcomes needed by patients, customers, and the healthcare system.
  • Coach: Support every member of the access team to build skills and mindset they need to succeed in an empowered system. Be a coach, and be coached.
  • Catalyst: Help team members prioritize to create clarity and focus. Foster connections for the access team across Roche Ecuador, i7 and Global network.
  • Responsibilities & Accountability

    Overall

  • Sit on Leadership Enabling Team and responsible for co-creating and embedding the long-term vision and strategy for Roche Ecuador
  • Instill the values of Respect, Courage, Integrity, Passion and Trust into the culture of the Access team and the organization
  • Guide and coach all the access and DATs members to develop Access, value proposition, HTA and reimbursement strategies
  • Collaborate and co-create extensively with both internal (across Roche Ecuador and Roche International) and external stakeholders
  • Access & Reimbursement

  • Coach and provide technical support in the development of access and reimbursement strategies for building their expertise and growing performance
  • Enable appropriate resource planning, ensuring that strategies take place as planned and with appropriate investment management towards optimal value for patients and societies
  • Support and motivate access members to develop Value Proposition strategies based on our Healthcare System needs by adapting implementable cases/examples from our access network.
  • Ensure access to our innovative solution rapidly by improving our HTA system to assure that patient outcomes are valued in access decisions.
  • Lead and drive our innovation ́s reimbursement process through the dissemination or our value messages, showing the clinical, economical and social impact to our relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that our product is available (stock) in health institutions when patients require them, by being efficient in the distribution process
  • Liaise across Global and multi-country teams in carrying out projects & activities.
  • People Leadership / Management

  • Encourage and maintain a highly motivated and effective team with a performance-led culture, strive for excellence and strong focus on patient centricity.
  • Understand company business strategy, enabling autonomous teams to deliver better outcomes to more patients faster.
  • Build cooperative and collaborative team spirit to align well with the company's culture and new way of working.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, motivation & Training direction to the access team.
  • Hire, assist with filling gaps during vacancies, coordination of rotations.
  • Develop high potential employees and provide career development opportunities for personnel.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing & networking
  • Ensure the resources and capabilities are allocated to achieve shared objectives
  • Essential Accountability

  • As part of the Leadership Enabling Team, ensure Roche Ecuador licence to operate
  • Ensure that all in-field activities are in line with relevant Ecuadorian regulations, local pharma code and Roche business principles and values
  • Be responsible for all aspects of safety, health and environmental protection in the areas under control
  • Be responsible for reporting all available information of an adverse event within one business day of awareness
  • All Roche employees are expected to practice high standards of compliance following Roche Code of Conduct with both external and internal policies and regulations as well as participate and be involved in SHE initiatives within the Company.
  • Requirements:

  • Professional
  • Postgraduate studies are desirable.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in similar positions
  • Comprehensive vision and knowledge of the political, economic environment and the Ecuadorian Health system
  • Advanced English.
