Luis Miguel Sotamba

I am a software developer with 3 years of experience in the development of web, mobile, and desktop applications. I am proficient with the following technologies/programming languages: Python, Django (Backend) and Javascript, ReactJs (Frontend). On the backend side, I have used multiple tools (rabbitMQ, celery, elasticsearch, and redis) to solve complex tasks such as fast data fetching, query caching, database optimization, and background task execution, to name a few. On the frontend side, I have used libraries like MaterialUI (component library), Boostrap, and Tailwind for styling the application, making the development of products the fastest. Besides, I follow the Gitflow branch strategy to separate the workspace on the code. The current company where I work adopts the scrum methodology for the management of multiple projects, so I use it. Besides, I am in charge of the infrastructure of the projects, which means that I configure the servers for deployments and maintain the servers in the correct state.

I studied at Técnico Salesiano High School where I got my high school degree in informatics. After that, I went to the University of Cuenca and studied Computer Science. I am in a diploma pending state currently. In my university journey, I participated in multiple programming contests such as Devsu Code Jam and IEEE Xtreme Programming. In the latest contest, I got 3rd place nationally, and the university got me a diploma for outstanding participation.
