We are looking for a
Service Engineer to join our dynamic, fast-paced
Energy & Automation team for Energy Business in the Americas region.
Ecuador.
What will you be doing
As a
Service Engineer, you will be performing various field service activities, including overhauls and repairs at both the customer job site and in the local workshop.
As a Service Engineer, you will focus on these responsibilities:
- Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan.
- Perform overhauls and repairs on assemblies onsite and/or in workshops.
- May interact with customers during the work execution.
- May perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
- Create the Service Work Reports.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Participate in the development of new working methods within own responsibility area.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
General Skills:
- Electrical or Mecatronical engineer or any related studies.
- Cost awareness and effectiveness
- Reporting skills
- Planning and target setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Good English level
Professional Skills:
- Experience with Alternators and energy generation Engines,
- System and solution knowledge
- Customer understanding
- Experience in commissioning new power plants as an automation engineer
- Experience with programmable logic controllers, frequency drives, electrical protection devices, computer systems, Ethernet networks, firewalls and OPCservers.
- Creating and presenting highly technical information to internal and external worldclass experts
