Job Summary


The Water Team in Guayaquil, Ecuador is looking for a Water Engineer responsible for reviewing the designs of the Lost Merinos Wastewater Treatment Plant and review the technical requirements and redesigns required on site.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review of designs of the components of the wastewater treatment plant.
  • Propose engineering solutions to the cases presented, during the execution of the work.
  • Respond to contractor requests for design concerns.
  • Document the progress of the design review through reports; conduct monthly progress meetings and prepare summaries of meetings; Maintain project files and prepare and process change orders.
  • Participate in work meetings with specialists and other positions in the field.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the supervision of designs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.

Experience: 5+ years in design analyst, hydraulic specialist.

  • Independent worker capable of exercising independent judgment and evaluation.
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand critical path method (CPM) schedules.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures associated with concrete, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems and other construction materials.
  • Knowledge of design management information systems/databases.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
