Experiencia
I am a highly experienced EFL teacher with a big passion for teaching and constant learning. Teaching is my calling for service, that’s why I would really like to be given the opportunity to work at your organization and to contribute to the improvement of the quality of education worldwide. My desire is to travel and teach in order to contribute to the different projects that your organization leads. I am highly culturally aware, since I have had the opportunity to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and I enjoy the intercultural interaction.
I was very excited to see this opening, and I hope to be called for an interview. I currently live in Quito-Ecuador, but I am open to travel if necessary.
I have served as an IB Coordinator, as well as Department Chair in 3 different International schools in Ecuador. I have worked in the Ministry of Education in Ecuador as an assistant coordinator, and I have worked at Alliance Academy International as an EFL teacher at the secondary level, and as an Academic Writing teacher at the University level (UDLA University). My background includes TEFL teaching at all levels, as well as full domain of both English, Spanish, and some French. I am available to travel for long periods if necessary. Among my main abilities, I can highlight my good level of organization, my ability to deal well with documents and paperwork, good problem-solving skills, and careful time management.
In addition to this experience, I gained considerable skills as an interpreter and translator during the past 4 times during my participation in the Galapagos Islands Teachers to Teachers Group (T2T) institute and the Galapagos Conservancy Workshops. That experience not only helped me develop my language skills, but also gave me the opportunity to assist those teachers for them to understand the Ecuadorian culture, and learn from it. In addition, I worked as a Spanish teacher for Middle School American students in Massachusetts, USA. Therefore, I am confident I can offer you the profile with the qualifications required for the position.
